Bambouseraie de Prafrance

Founded in 1856 by Eugène Mazel, the Bambouseraie is a unique place in Europe.

The park of about 15 hectares is home to over 150 varieties of bamboo, and a variety of exotic plants and trees remarkable. The proposed route for the visitors on a journey from the forest of giant bamboo, the Japanese-style garden, through the Laotian village and the amazing valley of the Dragon. The Bambouseraie also has a floral garden and a water garden... and even a maze...

Each year, the Bambouseraie hosts artists for exhibitions in harmony with nature.

Labeled notable Garden and Southern France Quality, la Bambouseraie is now the first attraction visited in the Gard.

Since 2008, the Bambouseraie d'Anduze is included in the supplementary list of historic monuments.

To allow its passengers to discover this beautiful universe, the steam train that runs between the Cévennes Anduze and St Jean du Gard offers a stop at the Bambouseraie.
